Quickly generate models to optimize cutting paths and adapt to complex shapes.
With the waterjet technology as the core, ForPlus continues to explore cutting-edge practices, per customer’s appreciations. Among the projects requiring intelligentization, it is found that more visual assistance is needed to support the positioning, identification and decision-making of the machines . We actively explore the application direction of machine vision in various water jet cutting application projects. The machine vision technology we use covers 2D vision (plane) , 3D vision (space), and contour vision (edge) . Different visual technologies are suitable for different application scenarios, and can provide the capability such as calibration of workpiece position , whether there is machining , auxiliary positioning, edge inspection, and model matching . Applied on robotic waterjet and standard XY waterjet, it enables the machines to have higher level of automation and intelligence.
In terms of 2D vision application:
In the project of cutting PCB boards using precision machine tools, we use 2D vision to identify the mark points on the PCB boards, to do automatic identification and positioning of the PCB board positions and trajectory correction, and then complete flexible cutting without the need for fixture positioning.
In terms of 3D vision applications:
Robot with 3D vision can achieve real-time scanning of cutting workpieces, match templates, automatically correct the robot workpiece coordinate system, and complete cutting.
In the application of contour vision:
the contour camera can perform contour scanning on the flash edge of the blade during the blade manufacturing process , calibrate the appropriate cutting position through the algorithm , and then cooperate with the customized mechanism to complete the automatic trimming positioning and cutting action.
