Project Background

In petroleum and petrochemical operations, sudden accidents such as blowouts and fires place extremely high demands on the reliability, cutting capacity and safety of cutting equipment. Traditional cutting processes have defects such as high thermal effect, low cutting efficiency and high safety risks, and cannot meet the needs of rapid response and precise operation of emergency rescue. A petroleum company urgently needs an automated system that can operate stably in extreme environments and has strong cutting capabilities to cope with the problems of long-distance cutting and crushing in well control rescue.

Solutions

The high pressure abrasive suspension waterjet system provided by ForPlus is a pre-mixing high-pressure water jet cutting solution designed specifically for petroleum and petrochemical emergency rescue. Continuous abrasive mixing by alternating 2 abrasive hoppers in turn, automatic control, and explosion-proof design, which can achieve stable output of high pressure abrasive jet, effectively cut through thick metal structures, and save time for emergency rescue.

1.Power Unit:

It is driven with diesel engine with stepless speed control, and is equipped with a rupture disc and overpressure protection function.

2.Cutting Capability:

The output high pressure abrasive jet can cut through metal thickness ≥380mm, supporting dual-head simultaneous cutting or single-head efficient cutting.

3.Abrasive Mixing System:

Dual hoppers operating in turn for automatic and continuous abrasive mixing, dynamic adjusting the water-abrasive mixing ratio to support non-stop abrasive jet supply for cutting operation.

4.Automation Control:

It is not only equipped with PLC+HMI and one-button start and stop function, but also has remote monitoring and emergency manual mode. In addition, it has explosion-proof grade ExdIIBT6 and protection grade IP65.

Key Innovative Designs

1.Dual Abrasive Hoppers for Continuous Operation :

2 hoppers supplying abrasive in turn to ensure the continuous cutting with abrasive and water mixing jet, significantly improving the productivity.

2.Pre-mix technology:

Compared with the traditional post-mix process, the pre-mix technology has more uniform mixing, high energy conversion rate, low cutting pressure requirement and significantly improved safety.

3.Explosion-proof and Safety Design:

The whole machine has passed ATEX explosion-proof certification. Key components are made of duplex precipitation-hardened stainless steel, which is resistant to impact and corrosion. It is equipped with anti-backflow and anti-clogging devices to ensure stable operation in extreme environments.

Testing and Adjustment Results:

(1)Continuous Operation Capability:

During on-site commissioning, the system achieved continuous switching of two hoppers, and the overall operating efficiency was 2-3 times higher than that of traditional solutions.

(2)Adaptability to Extreme Environments:

Through high temperature, humidity, wind and sand simulation environment tests, the equipment can operate stably in the temperature range of -18℃ to 55℃, and the compressed air condensate treatment system can effectively solve the problem of pipeline blockage.

Skid-mounted in two standard containers, compared with the traditional fracturing truck well control emergency rescue method, this set of equipment is more integrated and miniaturized, convenient for transportation and operation.

The water jet cutter has passed ATEX explosion-proof certification and pressure testing by authoritative institutions, with a bursting pressure of ≥320MPa and a pipeline leakage rate of <0.1%, which complies with the safety regulations of the petroleum and petrochemical industries.
